5) Underlayment Fabric & EPDM Liner
Underlayment is a geotextile fabric used to protect the liner of your water feature. It is placed underneath the liner to add puncture resistance to the liner. All roots, rocks, and other debris should be cleared as much as possible prior to laying the underlayment. It also can be used, or doubled up, where large rocks are going to be placed, below and on top of the liner.
